A graduate of Polish Studies at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (1977). Theater reviewer – continuously since 1977, publishing in national, regional and local journals (including “Teatr”, “Warmia i Mazury”, “Ilustrowany Kurier Polski”, “Gazeta Pomorska”, and since 1990 – “Nowości”). The author of texts on theater – including the publications of Wilam Horzyca Theater, the observer, spokesperson and member of the jury during theater festivals. A journalist since 1978, in the years 1982-1990 in the newspapers published in Toruń beyond censorship. He worked at the time as an editor of the publishing house of Towarzystwo Naukowe in Toruń and the conspiracy Publishing House Kwadrat. From 1990 to 2006 he cooperated with the editors of Toruń Daily “Nowości” as, inter alia, theater reviewer, cultural manager and editorial assistant. He has gained experience in the organization and management as a board member and then a chairman of the Journalistic-Publishing Cooperative Oficyna Toruńska (publisher of the daily Nowości). During his term of office “Nowości” renovated the one-century-old house at Mickiewicza street intended for modern office of the newspaper. The co-author of the editorial and graphic concept of the first free urban weekly in Toruń and until October 2007 editor-in-chief of the weekly “Teraz Toruń”.
